Lithographic crayon is made of:
The proportions of these components depend on the hardness of the crayon. Shellac is not present in the greasy and soft crayons. Lithographic crayon is normally available in seven different hardnesses. The lower the number, the greasier and the softer. The crayons are used to draw the image on a lithographic stone
In the past the litho pencils were wrapped in paper. These wrapped pencils are not available anymore. At present, Korns is making only the cores of the pencils.
The core pencil and crayons can be used with Stone's Economy Holder.
